TWO SESSIONS FEATURING COSPLAY MODELS AS DRAWING REFERENCES
Morning class: A fun and supportive session with cosplayers stepping into modelling, striking dynamic poses inspired by anime. You’ll sketch a series of short poses, 30 seconds, 2, 5 and 10 minutes, designed to build confidence and strengthen your observational skills.
Live demonstrations by soda.straw will be presented on a whiteboard, showing how to approach quick sketches, including 30-second, 2-minute and 5-minute poses.
Perfect for beginners and intermeditae artists wanting to improve time management of their drawing, or anyone looking to build a strong foundation in a relaxed, creative environment.
Afternoon sketch club: A practice-based session focused on life drawing for illustration and anime, working with cosplay models. Models will pose a series of dynamic, action-inspired poses drawn from anime.
This is an untutored session with 90 minutes of uninterrupted drawing time. Begin with warm-up poses of 30 seconds, 2 and 5 minutes, followed by longer 10-minute poses to develop more detailed studies.
This session is suitable for all levels, and especially ideal for intermediate and advanced artists/illustrators, looking to pracice and refine their skills drawing from life models in a focused studio setting.
$40 – Attend one session (morning class or afternoon Sketch Club)
