Aboriginal Heritage Walk - Warriewood Wetlands

Aboriginal Heritage Walk – Warriewood Wetlands

The Aboriginal Heritage Walks are an opportunity for the public to learn about how the Gayamaygal lived in this country and the unique endangered vegetation at Warriewood Wetlands.

This walk will be lead by Karen Smith from the Aboriginal Heritage Office and is organised by the Northern Beaches Council as part of the Celebrate Australia program. For more information about our other events in the program, please see our Celebrate Australia page.

Please note, the Warriewood Wetlands has narrow paths, some rock walking and short inclines.

Dress code

There is a dress code required due to the risk of ticks in the area. You must wear the following to minimise the amount of skin exposed:

  • Hat
  • Long pants
  • Long sleeved shirt
  • Covered in shoes with long socks

The Events team will also have tropical strength insect repellent that we advise applying before the walk commences.
