
A Seminar and Q&A on Parkinson’s disease at Dee Why RSL
WORLD LEADING EXPERT ON PARKINSON’S DISEASE TO SPEAK AT PITTWATER /NARRABEEN PARKINSON’S SUPPORT GROUP SEMINAR
Professor Simon Lewis, Professor of Cognitive Neurology & Consultant Neurologist, Macquarie University, will speak about the latest research at Macquarie University, to slow disease progression and treating symptoms such as Freezing Gait and Hallucinations.
Currently, in Australia, figures tell us that 1,140 people will hear that they have Parkinson’s Disease this month and 219,000 are currently living with the disease. It is now more common than breast, lung and prostate cancer.
The seminar will be of benefit to those living with the disease and their carers, allied health professionals, supporting hospital and nursing staff, GPs and Neurologists, and government bodies supporting this disease.
The seminar will be held at Dee Why RSL L3 Oaks Room, on Thu 22nd Aug 2024, 10am for 10:30am – 1pm
