NORTHERN BEACHES NEWS IN A NUTSHELL

Dear Readers,
Before jumping into the usual weekly news wrap I would like to share my gratitude for the surprising level of generosity in our brief fundraiser last week. While I am generally loath to seek press patron support these days as we become self-sustainable with local advertising, the opportunity from the Local Independent News Association to match any funds raised dollar for dollar made it an opportunity not to waste. You immediately rose to the occasion and I am pleased to say they confirmed almost $5,000 in matched funding as a result of your generosity. This will be re-invested into our free news app and potentially quarterly print edition for non-digital readers. It was also well timed as I found myself hospitalised with pneumonia in the last week and am now on strict bed rest this week without worrying about bills. Tremendous support, thanks again to you all and to antibiotics...
